Trash

What day is Trash pick-up?
Trash collection is provided twice each week on Monday and Thursday. Republic Services picks up trash on specific holidays that fall on a Monday (Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Martin Luthe King Day, Presidents Day and Memorial Day). See Republic Services holiday schedule

All trash must be stored in a trash can(s) with a lid for pickup. Large items may be placed outside of the trash can(s) for the purpose of collection but all other times should be contained in the trash can(s). If you have any large or bulky items that you need to get rid of, please call Republic Services Trash Removal Services to schedule a special pickup between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at (703) 818-8222. Republic Services generally picks up bulk items on Thursday.

At no time should bags containing food be placed outside of trash can(s). You may place your trash can(s) at the curb the night before pick-up. In the event of inclement weather (wind, rain, snow), please put your trash can(s) out in the morning. This hopefully will prevent trash from blowing around the neighborhood. We would appreciate if you would clean up any trash that is scattered by the wind or animals.

Once collected, empty trash can(s) are to be stored in your garage or in your backyard after pick up to keep our community free of clutter.

Landscaping

What company does the landscaping in our community?
We are working with Premier Landscaping.  Lawn areas will be maintained every seven to ten days beginning in early April and continue until the end of October except during extended rainy or dry periods. Lawn area will be maintained at a height of 3 to 4 inches. Fenced in areas are also mowed; if locks are placed in your fenced door mowing will not be performed. Peters will mulch the front and side lots of your home during the Spring.

Snow Removal

Who is responsible for plowing our neighborhood when it snows?
Snow removal will begin after 2 inches of snow has fallen at Dulles airport.  Our snow plow vendor, Davey, will plow the streets and shovel the sidewalks. You are responsible for shoveling your driveway, stairs, and stoops.
