On the Windows machine the app is running in 64 bit mode while on the Mac it is 32 bit. I have an old Windows machine that it runs fine on and uses little CPU time. In the course of doing something else I also determined ATP is 32-bit, which means Fidelity lost interest in supporting that product over a decade ago.
